TheFeelGood.com

There are times when excellent web applications come to life and everyone goes nuts for them. It happened with the over hyped Basecamp, with FreshBooks (excellent app) and even with Mint. That is excellent. Everyone fells good. Now, there are times when this doesn’t happen -for some strange reason- and it’s up to the people to discover that amazing web application or social network everyone ignores.

The Feel Good
A good use of ajax. Finally. It was time already. May may may. Ok, I will shut up now.

This may be the case of TheFeelGood.com an outstanding social network that present us an unique perspective for listening to music online.

The old days

Back in the old days, you needed to Register, go to your email account and click on some link to activate your account, and then you needed to close the tab you previously have opened in your browser and use the new one which, has your user loged in because in some cases, if you just, refresh, you needed to log in again. Then, you needed to start looking for music and, song by song, build your own playlist to share with your friends. Well, that has changed.

Today (mighty future!)

TheFeelGood.com let us listen to music right away. We enter on the website, and we can listen to music right there by just clikcing the play button. If we like to hear some “chill” mood music, we just hit the “chill” tag at the bottom and we hear the user selections for chill; we can add the theme we like as favorite and later register; for now, we just need to listen to music. The taste of users may be pretty much away from our taste: no problem, we just hit next and we jump to another song.

In a sushi restaurant you can request omakase, which means that you entrust yourself to the taste and choice of the sushi chef. He will present his finest meal, but you will not have a voice in its preparation.

The Feel Good Initiative is omakase for music. We help you find musical chefs worthy of your attention and you can entrust your ears to them as they take you on an acoustic trip, each one of them sharing a fine song with you daily.

This is how andr and mgPePe, the creators of TheFeelGood.com present their new social network. A brilliant idea, I’m envious; really. If you want to keep your playlist of songs you marked as favorite, the registration only takes a second and you are already listening to songs again. Users can comment on songs, and even upload their own with a few clicks. It’s risky to say, but I think we have a winner. TheFeelGood.com may be in the first place (bye Songza)
